The first step in the path of quality begins with our roots. In 1973, Michalis Vergos laid the foundations of our family business, establishing the first breeding farms on privately owned land in the settlement of Vathy Gorgomylos in the Municipality of Ziros.
In 1987, the unit was modernized and moved to a new, larger space in the mountainous area of the village of Dryofytos, Filippiada. There, in a natural environment among olive trees and on a total area of 200 acres, modern facilities were created that offer upgraded living conditions for the animals.
Why nutrition is the basis of quality
Our own animal feed, from our own raw materials: In our own factory, we prepare the animal feed for our pigs. We use exclusively selected raw materials and cereals of high nutritional value, under strict control at every stage. This gives us absolute control over their diet.
Fresh natural water: Our animals are watered with a reserve of high-quality natural water, suitable even for human consumption, ensuring their constant hygiene and well-being.
This strict process not only serves the excellent health and development of the pigs. It is the fundamental condition for us to bring to your table pork of excellent taste and nutritional value, with absolute respect for both the welfare of the animals and the natural environment that hosts us.
